2006 Christmas ornament
The ornament sale is a fundraiser for Historic Lakeland, Inc., which uses the funds to promote Historic Preservation of important landmarks and buildings, provides funding of pamphlets of the Historic District, the publication of Historic Lakeland Quarterly, and helps fund surveys of areas that have significance in the Lakeland area. Historic Lakeland is a member of and works with state and county preservation groups.
Ornaments featured in the past include the Lake Mirror Promenade, Polk Theatre, Federal Building (Old Post Office), Elk's Club, Cleveland Court School, Old Lakeland High School (now the Lawton Chiles Middle Academy), Park Trammell Building, Henley Field Entrance, Old City Hall, All Saints Episcopal, Annie Pfeiffer Chapel, Hotel Lakeland Terrace, Munn Park, Lake Morton Historic District, New Florida Hotel (the Regency), Kress Building (now the Children's Museum), The Clonts building, Dixieland Elementary School, the John F. Cox Grammar School which is now the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic and the Marble Arcade Building
